birthday was last week and naturally they are not nearly as exciting as when you were little. Chris surprised me with a balloon, flowers and an adorable hello kitty card outside my bedroom door when I woke up. Put a smile on my face for the entire day. Had some fun in New Jersey and later on found a Denny's. :) That night was family time.
In other news, Riss came home in the beginning of the month. I know that when i say "home" i don't mean she lives here, but i do feel that this is somewhat her home, and hopefully she decides to come live here. But anyways, we met at the olive garden and we not only got the chance to catch up, but i got to see CARLY! yay! I missed her and I'm glad she came. Steve's new girlfriend came too and I approve. She seemed really sweet and I can't wait for her to come out more often. :) Although dinner was nice...I had to go home cause I didn't feel well. That night and the following day I had a horrid case of food poisoning. Nasty.Not from the olive garden, but i think a turkey sandwich that i had taken a few bites of and concluded that it didn't taste right. It eventually made it's way to the trash a second later.
I've been working my tush off lately, not only because the money is useful, but since school hasn't been in session...why not? Not only that, but as I was in the lower east side two weeks ago I hit up the Strand and picked up some winter reading. I happen to be reading Steve Martin's Shopgirl. I saw bits and pieces of the movie, which seemed okay, but the book is better. He isn't a GREAT writer, but not terrible either.
Next monday classes start and that following tuesday is Chris' bday. No idea what he wants to do for the night, but I do know that monday night when I'm done buying books and such, I will be home baking.

Well the school season OFFICIALLY started. The end of my summer was awesome. Lake George was sooooo much fun and needless to say, much needed. But that is a whole other entry. The highlights were= fireworks, dinner on the lake, six flags, mini golf, shopping, Minnie-Ha-Ha, horse and buggy, wax museum. My summer seemed to have flown by. As if three months wasn't long enough, but whatever.
I started classes yesterday and all in all they aren't half bad. My New york history class is slightl stressful due to the size of the class. Let me paint a picture. A small room with a long table and about 10-12 people with two professors. Yup...a tad bit stressful. History of the Holocaust isn't bad, only one long paper.
Chris and I played mini golf in long Island tonight. I'll probably have a ton of bug bites tomorrow. Believe it or not, chris and I tied! He always...always bets me by one point. Chris is amazing at golf and showed me how to play well too.
At the moment I'm watching Drop Dead Gorgeous, havent seen that movies in forever. I'm a little tired, so I'm off to bed.

So far this summer has been pretty good. In about 3 weeks I leave for Lake George with Chris, which naturally, I'm super stoked about. We'll be there for about 5 days and hopefully we'll get to do all the things we have planned.
Paul, Billie and I took a roadtrip to midgetville last tuesday, where we stopped at the best place for food...DENNY's. Yummmm.
I just got over a horrible cold...and i mean horrible. Chris and I both had it actually, congestion, fever, sore throat, etc. Kinda sucked. I had it for about 2 weeks, on and off.
Summer is 1/2 way over and Classes start on August 27th. Not looking forward to it at all, the only thing I look forward to is Halloween. Speaking of which, I need to think of a suitable costume. Halloween mean Frieght Fest, Candy Apples, scary movies, pumpkin picking and the best of all...SWEATER WEATHER! yay.
Work soon, so I'm gonna watch a movie.

| last week of classes |

so today I had classes all day and this is the last week before finals. yay! I can't wait. Summer is greatly needed. But anyways my day went like this, walked from the 59th to 68th with a stop for coffee on the way, Brian telling me what happen to him on myspace and facebook, finishing Angela's Ashes and starting 'Tis, writing down notes for two papers, one on Hemingway, the other on the children of the Holocaust, going to chris' house and falling asleep in his bed, which he got a new comforter for and it's really comfortable.
Yesterday was Mother's Day and I was doing the plant sale, Chris came to visit and bring me coffee (smiles) and then proceeds to call me when he's home to tell me he found a kitten in his garage that the mother abandoned. Yup so sad and his mom is nursing it. She took him to the vet today and they said the kitten is about 3-4 days old. so cute. Yesterday I called my aunt and she gave me tips on caring for it cause her cat has given birth like four times.
well my eyes are heavy.
